If you’re looking for a way to see some of Copenhagen’s best loved historic sites and experience the cutting-edge local urban culture in one tour, look no further.
As you relax on board your coach, you’ll be taken past several of the city’s top sights. Marvel at the grand Royal Theatre, D'Angleterre Hotel and the Charlottenborg Academy in the cobblestoned Kongens Nytorv (King’s New Square), also home to the statue of Christian V on horseback, which was raised in 1688.
During 2 photo stops, capture the atmosphere at the 17th century Nyhavn waterfront, a hub of entertainment, and pose for pictures in front of the Little Mermaid statue. She may be small, but the bronze beauty has wowed visitors on a daily basis since 1913.
The landmarks keep coming as you pass by the Danish Parliament, Gammel Strand and City Hall, and soon you’ll arrive at the Generator Hostel. Found in the heart of the city, it’s housed in a building designed by Philippe Starck.
Don a special overcoat for warmth and head into the hostel’s ‘Magic Ice Bar’, where the temperature is kept at around minus 5 degrees Celsius. Enjoy a vodka cocktail (no need to ask for it on the rocks!) served in an ice glass as you check out the bar’s interior. Many features are carved in ice including furniture, decorations and the bar itself.
